ENTERTAINING IDEAS

Napkins are always in CraftyNEWS. We believe that a dinner table should be beautiful, no matter what the occasion.

Always start with a clean, pressed napkin. White always looks the best, and it can be matched with anything.

For sparkle and elegance, try gold or silver iridescent mesh, found at fabric stores in the special occasion department.

You will need app.. 1 1/2 yards to make four napkins.

Measure out each napkin at 12" x 12".

With very, very low heat, iron 1/4" seam around each edge. Turn again, and press, so raw edges are turned under, and not showing.

Base with same color thread. Practice basting on your scrap fabric first, mesh needs a very loose stitch.

For presentation, lay white napkin down first. Place mesh napkin over white. Take one corner, and pull through napkin ring.

Fan out top to show both colors.

Great napkin wraps - tie a few strands of Raffia around the napkin, tie, trim edges. Place a silk poinsettia flower in the raffia knot.
